Last week BBC announced their first few matches from their new contract to show 10 live matches a season from the Coca Cola Championship.

BBC’s first live Championship games are as follows

Sat 8th Aug – WBA V Newcastle United – 17:30 BBC1

Sat 26th Sep – Ipswich Town V Newcastle United – 17:30 – BBC TBC

Sat 24th Oct – Derby County V QPR – BBC2 – 17:30

Sun 1st Nov – Cardiff City V Nottingham Forest – BBC 1 – 14:00

Carling Cup 1st Round TV Games Announced

The 2009 Carling Cup gets underway on the 10th of August 2009. Sky has exclusive live coverage of the 1st round with the BBC showing a Semi Final and shared live coverage of the Carling Cup Final.

The matches that will be screened from the 1st Round are;

Mon 10th Aug – Darlington V Leeds United – Carling Cup 1st Round – 20:00 – Sky Sports 1 / HD1
