First Live SPL 2009 / 2010 TV Games Announced
The first live SPL games on TV have been announced for the 2009 / 2010 season.
Live coverage will begin on Saturday 15th August when Aberdeen take on Celtic on Sky Sports. ESPN’s first live SPL game will take place on Monday 17th August when Dundee United play Hearts.
The first Old Firm game of the season will take place on Rangers take on Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday 4th October live on Sky Sports

ESPN and SKY Acquire SPL TV Rights
ESPN and Sky Sports have acquired the Scottish Premier League TV rights for £65 million over five years. Live coverage will commence at the start of the 2009 / 2010 season, with each broadcaster showing 30 live games a season each.

Setanta Secure Record SPL TV Deal
Setanta Sports have secured a long term TV deal for exclusive live coverage of the Scottish Premier League in the UK. The deal, reportedly worth £125 million, is the largest TV deal in SPL history and will allow Setanta to continue to broadcast live SPL matches until the end of the 2013/14 season.
