ESPN wins Setanta’s Premier League TV Rights

The American organisations ESPN has won Setanta’s rights to show 46 live games from the Premier League next season. ESPN has successfully bid for Saturday Tea Time and Monday Evening matches that were due to be screened by Setanta Sports.
ESPN is likely to launch a new channel on the Sky platform to show these games, however it plans to make its coverage available via other mediums.
ESPN has also won Setanta’s rights to the remaining 23 live Premier League games to be shown from the 2010/2011 season onwards.
ESPN also plans to show all of their Premier League games live in HD.
